The Tales of the Traveling Tote bloggers published their first connected post 9 years ago, on June 15, 2015! To read how it all began, go here.
It's been a fabulous and busy spring for me - filled with lots of adventures with family and friends.
We have been planning on taking our little family to DisneyWorld for a while - it took lots of organization but we finally made it with our two daughters, their husbands and our four grandsons, ages 2,4,6 and 14!
The Magic Kingdom brought back memories of bringing our girls there many times on school vacations when they were young....the Haunted Mansion was still a favorite ride, the parade was as exciting as always and the tea cup ride was filled with lots of laughter from the little ones.
Hollywood Studios was enjoyed by all!
In Epcot, I dressed to match "France"...can you see the Eiffel Tower in the background?
Art of Animation was a fun place to stay for the week, a resort highlighting The Little Mermaid, Lion King and Cars
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
A few weeks later my friend and I took a Charcuterie Class at MacKenzie-Childs in Aurora. We were given the Wildflowers Pedestal Platter, a Sterling Check Pinch Bowl and all the fixings to create this:
The tulips were all in bloom in the courtyard....
It was a gorgeous spring day in Aurora!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The Warehouse Sale was two weeks later. It was held a few miles away from the Mackenzie-Childs Farm. I worked Friday and Saturday and was lucky to see many of my #macFRIENDzies:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The day after the sale I took a trip to Massachusetts:
I stopped in Bridgewater to see my 2 y/o Great Nephew, Aiden:
I couldn't wait to cross over the Cape Cod Canal:
Falmouth Heights Beach:
Hiking trail to The Knob in Falmouth
The Knob, Falmouth:
Buzzards Bay:
Plymouth Harbor Jetty:
We walked the 162 steps down to the beach at White Cliffs in Plymouth a few times:
...and I made it back UP successfully each time!
Mashnee Island holds some special memories for me and it was nice to walk down "Memory Lane"
In the background you can see railroad bridge that can be lowered so that the train can cross over the canal:
The Island beach:
It was a great week and I enjoyed catching up with friends who I have had for over 50 years!
We had friends visit us from Florida and we played lots of games, the guys golfed, we saw a show at the Turning Stone Casino and Resort and enjoyed lots of laughs!
The past three months have been filled with lots of joy, family and friendships! I am one lucky gal!
