It's time for the "Do It Over Designers" blog hop, hosted by
This is an easy upcycling craft, a wreath that can be made in less than 30 minutes!
I purchased an 8" styrofoam wreath at Hobby Lobby and cut apart 8 ties:
I simply wrapped each tie around the wreath and hot glued it in place:
This is how it looked on the backside:
To finish off the back, I hot glued the narrow side of the tie around the wreath to hide any bulges and make it lay flat:
This size wreath took only 8 ties:
I am sharing this recycling craft with the
"Do It Over Designers"
Hop around to see what these other designers created:

Your tie wreath is so cool, Patti! What a fun idea! I hope you didn't cut up your hubby's ties to make this, though!

Wonderful looking tie wreath! I love quick and easy projects. I have ties I saved from my dad and plan to make a couple of gifts for my niece and nephew so they'll have something in remembrance of their pop pop.
ReplyDeleteClever idea! I've used ties for other projects, but this is a new idea for me. Thanks!
