Today, August 17th, is National Thrift Shop Day and I am joining the Pinterest Challenge to show how I used old frames to make wreaths.
The purpose of this challenge is to actually make something from a photo we have pinned.
I purchased this frame from the local thrift shop and pulled out my box of fall florals. I played around with placement a few times:
This was the final result:
I simply glued each piece onto the frame and added a bow - easy peasy!
This is another I made:
Sum of their Stories | Modern on Monticello
Treasures Made from Yarn | The Apple Street Cottage
Pandora's Box | Sew Crafty Crochet
Southern Sunflowers
Such a neat idea! Wreaths are one of my favorite things to make, and have out. I never considered using a wreath to create one, but now when I see nice frames at the thrift store, I am going to be thinking of this project.

Looks great! I love to thrift, but haven't had much opportunity lately.
ReplyDeleteReally cute Patti!!
ReplyDeleteI love how we've got 2 versions of the frame wreath in this month's pinterest challenge. The same basic concept but 2 very different versions. These lovely autumn flowers are just beautiful and I love the black and white check ribbon with them.
ReplyDeleteLooks really good. I never do think of remaking frames as wreaths and I don't know why because they are so pretty. I like all of the versions you shared.
ReplyDeleteBoth of them are beautiful, Patti, and I love the feathers as an added touch. You're all ready for Fall!
ReplyDeleteLooks great! I love the flowers and the black and white bow!
