Years ago I would paint checks on my candles....ughhh, the time it took!!
Now, most of my candles are battery operated, so I have covered them with wrapping paper that you can buy HERE.
I simply cut a strip and tape the paper at the seam.
It adds a little flair to a plain ol' white candle....
....and it can be simply changed for a holiday!
It's a great way to use up some scraps of wrapping paper or scrapbook paper!

Great idea! I love checked candles, but never thought of painting them myself, or covering them with printed paper ...which would be way easier! :) Looks fabulous! Happy New Year! ~Rhonda

ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, LOL! Here I was expecting some huge tutorial about how to make checks on white candles!!!! I wouldn't have thought of wrapping paper in a million years, that is just brilliant. I have TONS of white battery-operated candles and dressing up a few of them with checks would go perfectly in my black/white/cream living room. Just perfect coming across your blog at this particular time. And dressing those candles in wrapping paper for the holidays - perfect. Thanks so much for the inspiration, woo woo!
