It's Strawberry Season!
I am joining Rita at Panoply for another Table Setting Hop. All participants are listed at the bottom of this post for the Summer Tablescape Share!
My table is set for a BERRY BRUNCH
I love Strawberry Season!
The Courtly Check plates are topped with melamine strawberry dishes:

I used two placemats rather than a tablecloth and tied the napkins in a simple knot above the plates:
I have had the red flatware for many years:
The Berries and Blossoms plate is a discontinued pattern from MacKenzie-Childs:
A simple bunch of flowers in a candle globe sat in the center of the table:
The little baking cups were perfect for Bacon Curls (recipe below)
I bought the Strawberry Bread Basket recently at Home Goods and it held Strawberry Bread:
Strawberry Butter is very easy to make and delish on muffins, bagels or quick breads:
The wine glasses held Strawberry Punch. The MacKenzie-Childs pitcher kept the beverage nice and cold during our meal:
The Berries and Blossoms plate is a discontinued pattern from MacKenzie-Childs:
A simple bunch of flowers in a candle globe sat in the center of the table:
The berry bowl was a recent purchase from Home Goods and held the mini quiches:
I love to have little favors so I purchased a few strawberry boxes and filled them with.......
BERRY SOX!!
Another sweet treat:
I am looking forward to picking some strawberries soon!

And those little strawberry boxes are just darling, especially with those little sock treats. How creative! And oooh bacon curls!! The recipe sounds fabulous, and such cute little cups for them. Yumm! What time is brunch?? I’m on my way!!

ReplyDeleteYour table is so much fun and stylish, Patti. I noticed in Anthropologie that EVERYTHING is fruit themed this summer. I'm loving it! All the strawberry touches are fun, and I really want to try your strawberry bread recipe. Of course the strawberry butter is so perfect, and so is using the darling mold. Thanks for posting all the recipes. I'll let you know when I try the bread. Your brunch looks so cute AND delicious! Happy summer!

ReplyDeleteThis post has just about everything, from a beautiful table with fabulous dishes, to tips, techniques, and a recipe. I’m going to be busy. I have been looking at all of the tables on the blog hop today and I have been making audible gasps. Seriously, the cat is giving me the side eye. I’m shocked to learn that the strawberry plates are melamine. I never would’ve guessed that. How perfect they look up against the McKenzie Childs plates.
ReplyDeleteWow, Patti, you aren't kidding when you labeled this a berry good brunch! First, the table: I loved the discontinued berry & bloom plates from M-C, such a nice pattern. You could've fooled me with the top plates being melamine! The added pieces from Home Goods are great additions to your love of strawberry patch. And such a cute idea for takeaways. Now, the food! Oh my, those bacon curls and mini quiches look super delish. The bread and butter would be like dessert for me, and the house special drink for the brunch would be a real hit.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing both a great table and menu for this fun summer table. I appreciate you and your creative ways you always bring to these hops!

Patti! This is such a sweet table in more ways than one!! I just love all the checks and patterns! You have addressed the essential summer fruit (some might say that is watermelon but I beg to differ) with so much fun!! Every element is cuter than the next - but I have to say - the sox in the box put it over the top for me!! I am with Sarah and adore the napkin knot framing the plates - perfect!! I hope you have a wonderful Summer!

ReplyDeletePatti, this is adorably whimsical! The strawberry theme is perfect for a summer brunch and I love the prominent role both the red and black checks have.
