Making Apple Cider!

My sister-in-law lives in a small apple orchard.  Her grandson was visiting from Texas and we spent Friday afternoon making apple cider.  BJ was an expert at picking the apples:

They have a "hand crank" cider press and we all took turns tossing in the apples and cranking the wheel:

 The aroma was wonderful and there is nothing like a glass of fresh cider!

 We made about 5 gallons!

 And BJ was the best helper!
