4Th of July Cake

This was a simple cake to make:


I divide the cake batter into thirds and colored one in red, the other blue and baked according to the directions on the box



I only frosted the tops of each layer so that you can see the rich colors:


I poked a star in the top....


...and pulled out a few plates, forks and napkins....


....and we dove right into it!!
