Today I am sharing a fall table setting with a group of very talented bloggers. At the end of this post you will find links to visit all participants.
Rita, of Panoply, is our very organized hostess - don't miss her table!!
I am not ready for fall yet, so I chose to set the table in 'sunny' yellow:
A few years ago I painted the stems of these Dollar Tree wine glasses to coordinate with my checked dishes:
I am using a mixture of ceramics and plastics for this table for two. I am serving salad, with homemade croutons, and soup (recipe below) for lunch.
A salad of mixed greens and fresh cherry tomatoes from my little garden will be served in the side bowl:
The soup will be served in this pretty MacKenzie-Childs bowl:
The centerpiece is simply a bunch of faux flowers in a MacKenzie-Childs vase, along side a little Baccarat Butterfly:
Many studies have linked the psychological powers of yellow to the sun. Sunlight helps to lift our mood and improve our outlook on life! A winter in Central NY proves this theory for sure! After months of snowy, grey days we crave the sun.
As we slowly ease into fall, I hope you find a little inspiration from this table!
The Bishop's Hat napkin fold usually sits on a plate, but this is another fun way to place your napkin:
The napkins are from MacKenzie-Childs and the beaded trim coordinates well with the checks on the dinner plates.
It's a very simple fold:
Here's the soup I will be serving:
Why settle for plain plates when you can have art for the table?
