A day in the Cazenovia area...

Mom and I headed out for another adventure today.

We went to Cazenovia to Old and Everlasting.

An old neighbor of mine owns this quaint little shop a few miles outside the village….

…MaryAnn has a knack of displaying her wares in such a manner that makes you want to buy it all!

I always have to walk around the shop a few times and I know I still have missed a lot!

Behind the shop we found the friendly goats...

…and for some reason….

…they thought we were there to feed them!

Another mile up the road is The Barn...

…an old barn filled with second hand goods and furniture….

…and grounds that make you want to wander...

…and enjoy!

We drove into the village of "Caz" to have lunch at the historic Linklaen House...

Lunch is served in the Tavern, Dining Room and out of the patio….

…so, we chose to eat outside...

…on the patio...

The Linklaen serves popovers instead of bread - a nice touch...

…and the French Dip was delish!!

Across the street is Lavender Blue, a lovely shop with tableware from the Mediteranean and across from there is Tizzy's, a charming little shop with this lovely entryway:

A few miles out of town is the Hilltop Herbery...

...where we bought Pineapple and Chocolate Mint plants!

We also stopped at Dazzle in Manlius.
I painted these flower pots for them last year and I was happy to see that they weathered the elements!

Mom and I were tuckered out after our day of fun and I came home and took a nap!!

  3. What a fun day with your Mom, Patti! Such great shops to check out in this town. I love that barn! I think a good chunk of time could be spent looking around in there.
