The pots were planted….

These are the pots I painted for Dazzle - The store colors are pink, white and black, so the flowers match the store colors.  If you closely enough, you will see my good friend Janine peeking through the door.  Janine is also a retired teacher and works here a few days a week.

I have been a lazy blogger lately.  I spent last week on Cape Cod and now I am on my way to Ohio to celebrate my grandson's 5th birthday.

And just in case you haven't heard:

Filling some special orders...

I have been busy filling a few special orders:

I just finished painting this bureau white, but the surprise is when you open the drawers….

...I lined them in polka dot wrapping paper.  The paper was adhered with ModPodge:

This was a plastic Syrocco mirror….painted to order:

And a friend needed her birdhouse painted to match her home colors:

I think I deserve a few lazy days, don't you?

Flower Pots for Dazzle….

A local gift shop, Dazzle,  commissioned me to paint LARGE flower pots for the front of their store.

The plastic pots were sprayed with white plastic paint...

and then I painted checks and stripes to coordinate with their store colors of hot pink, black and white:

As soon as they fill them with flowers, I will post a photo!

Audriana's Time Out Chair

My great niece turns ONE today.  Her Grandmother wanted a "Time Out Chair" for her so I found an old wooden chair and primed it white…and pulled out "Mema's" favorite color: pink

and then I "doodled away".  Here is her chair, for those very few times she will be naughty:

Not too bad for someone without a green thumb….

As you know, I hate gardening…but things are looking pretty colorful around here…at least for the time being!

The irises are in full bloom - obviously they require no care at all!

We'll see how long the pansies last...

This 3 tiered planter has recently been planted, so it has a few good weeks til it starts to look pathetic:

By the end of July the petunias will be sparse and leggy:

I have no idea what this is, but it might have a chance of survival:

You CAN'T kill mint, so this has a fighting chance:

The basil will most likely survive all summer, because I pick it constantly...

and the same goes for the parsley:

And this is a miracle - my poinsettias plant from Christmas is still red.  In central NY this is rare!

I imagine if I took these very same photos in one month it would give you a good laugh!
