The Past Few Weeks….

The past few weeks are a blur…and then I looked at my iPhoto file and realized why!  I've been quite busy!

The Parade of Homes was held recently in Clay, NYand there were 12 new homes to tour.  A few things that really caught my eye were these:

A headboard made from skis, skateboards, snowboards, tennis rackets, baseball bats, croquet mallets - just perfect for the sports fanatic (check out the pole lamp in the background):

This hand painted tea set all "jeweled" up!

A cornice made from records and albums - remember those?:

Caitlin has been home a few times and I am proud to say she just purchased her first home.  Every girl needs a lawnmower, right?

And sometimes the littlest things tickle her fancy:

My great niece Audriana turned ONE and had a HUGE party to celebrate - she is the sweetest little girl and currently the only baby in the family - so she is the highlight of family parties!

I went home to Avon, MA and met some high school friends for dinner - we have known each other for 50 years!

My grandson Carter, who lives in Ohio, turned 5 years old.  We spent a long weekend celebrating
with a bouncy house...

….and a slip 'n slide and a pool...

I went to the Lily Pad in Mashpee, on Cape Cod, and could resist buying a new lampshade:

And in my home town of Avon, MA, I spent too much time in Ikea.  How could I walk away from these dishes:

And what is coming up in the next few weeks?

Cookouts and Fireworks this weekend:

The Lavender Festival in Skaneateles...

THE BARN SALE….

Ohhhh, so little time to blog!!

  3. Oh, wow, Patti...you HAVE been busy! But that's a good thing. We need to stay busy so that we stay out of trouble. Although.....you still managed to find some "trouble" at IKEA!!! I cannot WAIT until that store opens here in September!!! I am just chompin' at the bit to get in there and lose my mind!!!

Have a wonderful and safe 4th, and just enjoy yourself. That's what life is all about!
