Paper Bag Table

I bought this cute little end table at the local thrift shop and wanted to try something new:


I painted the table black and then adhered torn pieces of a paper bag to the top:


I trimmed the edges with gold:


This treatment gave the table an "old world" touch and it is certainly a conversation piece!

    Cool idea! I have seen this done on floors but never thought of furniture. Funny, I am working on a table much like this only an older version! Great minds...
