Another reason why I hate to garden...

I have written a few posts on how gardening is certainly not my favorite hobby. Dirt, worms and THESE:
I have no idea what kind of spider this is, but I don't like her!
And I imagine that she is laying eggs all over the place just to torment me!

  1. Well, I love to garden, but agree that spiders tend to bother me. This one looks to be a common garden spider, but I rarely come in from working in the garden without a spider bite or too. They can be nasty bites too.

  2. Patti, as much as I love to garden, I find spiders very annoying as I get bit quite often. The bites seem to itch forever too.

  6. Hi, Patti:
When I read the article in this link, I immediately thought of your post … not sure if it’s the same kind of spider, but sounds like it might be:

  7. She's a beneficial garden spider! I know she looks menacing, but she's the one who eats the real pests! :)

  8. Oh I'm so sorry that even good spiders scare me too. Give me the shivers actually! yuck! Patti a while back I wrote to you about the goodwill spots in Syracuse to go to. but I can't find that coorespondance with you. Thrift stores is what we were talking about. Could you tell me those again? Thank you!

  9. I don't like spiders and snacks! Had one on my front porch that looked like that and made a picture of it and sent it to my grandson! He said, "Cool Nana". I said KILL! Hugs and blessings, Cindy
