Checked Tea Pot- - MacKenzie-Childs Inspired

If you are lucky enough to find one of these tea pots at a thrift shop, they can be updated easily with a little paint.
I painted this one for my blog friend Sarah, at Hyacinths for the Soul:

And if you want to use it as a vase, it would look lovely, too!

  2. Yes, that is a beauty! It's a great idea and very clever. I can't get enough of those black and white checks!

  3. Patti, I only wish I had kept a similar teapot that was boxed up from my great-uncles home. It went to the thrift shop when no one wanted it. I know Sarah will enjoy her beautiful new tea pot.

  4. Oh I am in love with this and have wanted to do this to mine but can't get myself to paint the pretty silver. Instead I just got two aluminum and very old coffee pots at a garage sale for $1 and they are on their way to this look soon!

  10. Was it difficult to paint on the silver. I have two of these teapots but both are from a set. Could you use a porcelain pot instead.
