I have been buying tables at garage sales and flea markets lately and have cleaned them up and painted them. I have been selling the tables on Craigslist with great success. This is one I just finished:

This is what it looked like when I bought it home:
As you know, I like to "doodle" so I painted checks similar to MacKenzie- Childs' Parchment Checks:
I trimmed the edges with 18K gold ink:
Ready to be listed on Craigslist!

WOnderful job as always. I love the Courtly Check pattern, but the parchment check has that lovely subtle elegance to it that will make it at home in any decor.
ReplyDeleteAnother beautiful piece, Patti. I doubt this will last long before someone snatches it up.
ReplyDeleteI'm cleaning out files in my office and discovered I have duplicate copies of some of the MacKenzie-Childs catalogs from through the years. I like to save these as references and for the styling ideas. You might want them for inspiration for painting a piece. Let me know if you could use these. I'll pop them in the mail to you. ~ Sarah
Patti, what a fun little business you have!
ReplyDeleteI love it! I would rather see, make, and buy a trash to treasure than get something new. The checks are perfect.
