MacKenzie-Childs Barn Sale 2012 Part 2

I really enjoyed working at the MacKenzie-Childs Barn Sale this past weekend! One of the highlights was meeting Deb from Mountain Breaths:

Here are a few photos of the Barn and Tents before the huge crowds were let in to shop:
Each evening the tents were restocked and looked like this before the shoppers arrived:

The "enamelware" barn was always packed:
And I truly think the Courtly Check was the most popular item of the sale!
I was able to get some photos from "behind the scenes" and will share them later. And I got a almost everything on my "wish list", too!

  2. Patti, I am so sorry to have missed you at the Barn Sale. We had a little bit of "drama" on our way there and that sort of threw us off our "game" schedule for a bit. My sister, her best friend and myself have not been able to think of anything else but this Barn Sale for the last month. We left the Boston area at 6am. After a quick stop for coffee, we talked almost non-stop about our upcoming weekend for most of the 366 mile trip. As we got closer we excitedly counted down the miles to go on the GPS. Ten miles to go! Only six miles to go! Only five miles to go! Four! Three!......

Then we ran out of gas.

Can you believe it? Two miles away from the Barn Sale entrance. We were so distracted that we completely forgot to stop to refuel. Luckily, there was a friendly neighbor on Great Gulley Road who generously gave us enough to get us to a gas station before we screeched into the Barn Sale. Lol I acually met Rebecca Proctor at the sale and when she heard our story she took a photo of the three of us and said that she was going to put it on MacKenzie-Childs Blog. In any case, I am sorry to have missed you at the Sale. I got almost everything on my Wish List as well as started my List for next year....the first of which will be 1) Stop for Gasoline.

  4. Patti, meeting you was the highlight of the barn sale this year! I'm loving all the Courtly Check we added to our collection. Next year, God willing, will be our sixth year attending and I am already excited about it! LOL

  5. Patti, I am your newest follower, and I follow Deb, too. I wish I could have met y'all at the barn sale. My daughter and I drove up from Alabama to attend. We had a great time! I wish I had bought some furniture pieces, but I did not this year. Maybe next year!!! I have posted a few posts about the sale, and I plan on posting one more about Aurora and Ithaca.

    xo,
    Ricki Jill
