A Quick Valentine Idea

Repost from 2011
This can be made for any occasion but I always make them for Valentine's day.
All you need is red or pink felt and clear plastic:
Cut a heart shape from each, measuring about 5 - 6" wide.
Stitch 3/4 around the heart, stuff it with candy, and complete the stitching to close. (It is easier to sew it plastic side down)

It's a lot of fun watching children try to figure out how to get the candy out!!

I have also made these by punching holes all around the edges and stitching it closed with yarn or embroidery floss!

  2. Oh my gosh - how cute! My boys would tear right through them to get to the candy! They'd last about 5 seconds in my house - unless I put them up HIGH!

  9. That is the cutest idea, I bookmarked it, which is the highest compliment a blogger could get. I could see this for all of the holidays. I figured out sewing plastic onto fabric that yep, plastic side down.
