I'll need a few days to adjust to getting up early, writing lesson plans and learning 146 new student's names...no more staying up late to watch the New Jersey and Washington house wives gossip and fight...no more lazy mornings watching the Today Show, and no more "Girl's Night Out" on weekdays (see 3 prior posts for a few good recipes)....I'll just be waiting for this each morning:

While there are things I am missing about school - - - my kids and the paycheck - - - I am NOT missing all of the above that you just described!
ReplyDeleteOh how I remember the bone-wearying energy drain of those first couple of weeks of school each fall!
I'm thinking of you!
What? No more Housewives? Oh, c'mon.
ReplyDeleteHi Patti,
ReplyDeleteOh... back to school, I hear you girl. I'm not a teacher but hear about all the fun from my sister and teacher friends.
I was greeted the other morning with a beautiful package from you. What a wonderful box of treasurers. The bracelet & necklace are so fun. I can't wait to wear them! And the little journal is as precious as can be. You are so talented to have created all these gorgeous gifts. The package smelled delicious of the fall leaves candle and looked beautiful. What a fun swap this was. I'll definitely be following you... my new blog friend. Thank you, and happy blogging...
Debbie
Have a fantastic school year. I hope you won't be gone for long. La
ReplyDeleteGod bless you as you get adjusted and get your school groove back on. We'll miss you while you're gone, but it'll be fun to see what stories you have to tell when you get back!
ReplyDeleteI envy you being a teacher! LOL! I can hear all the teachers saying "oh yeah, you don't realize all the hard work...we may get the summers off but the school year is tough!" :D
ReplyDeleteMay you have a warm & pleasant welcome back to school and have a great set of children!
Hugs, Carolyn ~ Cottage Sunshine
Enjoy your well-deserved break!

Good luck with the upcoming school year!!
ReplyDeleteHi Patti,
ReplyDeleteOh I'll be thinking of you these next few weeks. School here in Alabama started August 12 so everyone is about in the swing of things. My sister is a kindergarten teacher and I have many friends that are teachers, which I admire very much. Hope you have a great school year.
Thanks for dropping by Elizabeth Ann's, hope you'll come back soon.
Joyfully,
Elizabeth Ann
Hope your period of adjustment goes well. It sounds as if you've fully enjoyed your time away from the school year routine!
ReplyDeleteFinally stopping by to say thank you for the delightful comment you left for my "who gets the dishes" post. It made me laugh out loud! You were kidding ... right? ;)
Have a great weekend!
Bill
Have a great school year!
ReplyDeleteI hate getting up early. I guess I'm more of a night person. But I am looking forward to getting into more of a routine again!
