Teak Headboard

I've been looking for a headboard for the guest room. I wanted something to paint or refinish, something cheap. A quick trip into the Rescue Mission Thrift Store led me to this teak headboard made in Denmark, and in excellent condition:
A little Murphy's Oil Soap, some Old English polish, and it looks brand new. I haven't decided if I am going to paint it or not, but for now it is serving its purpose:
What did it cost? Only $10.00!

  2. WOW!~ What a deal! :) Beautiful work Patti! Thanks for stopping by the blog. The white box is the motion sensor for our alarm. I have one in the dining room, the kitchen, the foyer, and the sunroom. It used to stand out the most in the foyer with the clay colored paint ... but now that I've painted that room it seems to be recessed more.

  3. You scored a great buy on the headboard...can't believe it was only $10.00. I can hardly buy lunch for $10.00 anymore!
    Have a great week.

  6. How beautiful that headboard is on your bed. It reminds me of the fine Danish Modern designs from the 60's. $10.00 is so cheap for that wonderful headboard. I would hate to paint it.
