I came across this little tarnished silver tray at Goodwill the other day. I bought a similar one a few months ago.
All it needed was a little silver polish - I just can't seem to enjoy the "tarnished look". Any idea what these little trays were used for? I'm not sure, but jelly beans look pretty good on it:

Patti, I'm with you I love shiny silver. This dish is beautiful and the jelly beans really make it even prettier. Smiles, Marla
ReplyDeleteHi Patti. Thanks for the comment you left about my pedestal lamp makeover. I'm a new blogger so each comment I find is so precious! Your silver dish polished up so well.

Those jelly beans look FABULOUS in that little silver tray!
ReplyDeleteIt doesn't look like the same tray does it? And those jelly beans make it perfect, the color just pops it.
ReplyDeleteMuch better! Is it a wine bottle holder/trivet?
ReplyDeleteI hope you'll drop by AtticMag to see Jane's Met Monday post.
I love to polish old silver...I am another that doesn't care so much for the tarnished looked.
ReplyDeleteI don't know how I missed so many posts...must have been sleeping at the computer! This silver piece looks fabulous polished. I'm starting to see the beauty in the shine :-)
ReplyDeleteJane
I agree with the "tarnish look", and I would have to re-polish it as well..Jelly beans look so good in it though!
