This holiday gift bag is made from a brown paper lunch bag:
I layed this bag flat and a square (about 5") of green holiday fabric was cut out and glued on the front side. A strip of fake fur was glued along the bottom edge. His eyes were little painted dots and his nose is a pom pom. To fold the hat, fold back from corner to opposite corner of the fabric to form a triangle. Then fold down the top point forward. A jute bow was glued on the tip of the hat. Santa's beard was a 7" x 11" piece of muslin, folded in 1/2 to form a 7" x 5 1/2" strip. Glue a 7" piece of jute inside the fold. Tear small strips, 1/2"apart, up towards the folded edge with the jute, stopping 1/2" before fold. Glue this in a curve onto bag.
Isn't he cute? Inexpensive and easy to make! Tomorrow I will post the 4th paper gift bag. Here's Gift Bag#1 and Gift Bag#2

Another cute gift bag idea. I love Santa's and have a huge collection so this Santa bag is my favorite so far.

Very cute and looks so easy to do...something that even a non-craft person such as myself could handle! This would be such a cute craft idea for a Girl Scout Troup, classroom project, etc.
ReplyDeleteI'll check out craft 1 and 2 now.
Wow, that is a great idea! I think I'll try that! Thanks for stopping by my blog. ;-D
ReplyDeleteVery cute Patti! The plate rack in my post today is a fancy dish drainer from TJ Maxx. I think I bought it at the beginning of the summer. They still have variations of it.

CUTE bag idea. very creative!
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting today. I cleaned the rug from Sal. Army with my Hoover Steam carpet cleaning machine. You can see it with the vacuum cleaner in the background of the first picture. It really showed no soil... just had some food crumbs rolled up in it. Didn't smell like animals, and had no hair of fur on it. :-)
Well THAT is nifty thrifty! :-)
ReplyDeleteHow precious! I love this idea for gift giving. I LOVE homemade gifts, to me it says one put much thought and effort into a gift.
ReplyDeleteThank you for linking up to Thrifty Thursday this week, and as always thank you for being a friend in Bloggeritaville.
