I bought a Megamillion lottery ticket last week and I won....
YUP, I won a whopping $7.00 - - - - A DOLLAR AND A DREAM!!
So, I bought some paint....
This is an old oak table that I got for FREE...so again, I "slapped" some paint on it, painted a few squiggles and dots and it now acts as a tv stand in a bedroom. I kept the original top by sanding it, wiping some stain on it and just spraying some acrylic to protect it ... no reason to make a production out of it!I have a few areas in my home that are not protected by woodwork, so I went to the dollar store (Real Deals) and found these decorative corner-rounds! Now when the cat rubs up against the corners, she is not wearing off the paint....cheap investment, huh?
I'm joining Leigh at Bloggeritaville for Thrify Thursday...go see what some very clever gals have found.

I guess seven dollars is better than nothing, it's not millions but it can go pretty far at some of the thrift stores!! Your table looks great...the paint took an old tired table and turned it into something pretty and useful.
ReplyDeleteYour table is so cute! I love all the bright colors...it's adorable. I'll bet you are enjoying your corner pieces...they are very decorative. You found them at the dollar store? Wow! Those are so great and practical too! Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteThat table is amazing! Your very talented!! Good idea for where the cat rubs. I'll have to look for some of that!

I love what you have done to the table and the cabinet. Is that fabric inside glass doors or is that paint ? It is fabulous.
ReplyDeletehugs, Cherry
I bought a megamillion dollar lottery ticket last week too...didn't win zip! Yay for your $7!
ReplyDeleteGreat idea about the woodwork for your corners. I've seen it done with plastic but the wood looks so much nicer!
