I've decided to join Leigh at Bloggeritaville for Thrifty Thursday. This is my first time participating, but I have spent a few weeks traveling through her adventures and as well as her "followers". I have come across some pretty clever people!
I am showing off a buffet that I re-did....I can't even say that I "refinished it" because all I did was slap some paint on it. I also will share my latest garage sale bargains:
This buffet was given to me by my Mother-in-Law and it was in pretty bad shape (although this photo makes it look beautiful!)...it had numerous scratches, a warped door, and a drawer that wouldn't open. The legs were all marked up...
So, I decided to "slap" some paint on it and voila:
I recently stopped at a garage sale and found a piece of Fenton milk glass for $4.00, but actually paid only $3.00:
And 2 Possible Dreams Santas for only $2.00 each.....
With the tags and original boxes!
Don't forget to visit Leigh.

I love your buffet transformation. There's more creativity in that buffet redo than just "slapped" paint...great job. It looks like it goes great with the white wicker chair next to it. I'm going to follow your blog to check in on other projects. Stop by for a visit.
ReplyDeleteThe buffet looks great! Good deals on the glassware and santas.
ReplyDeleteHi Patti, You have some great finds there. I like the buffet in white, and of course ♥ your milk glass find! I also read down a bit and like your blog very much.
ReplyDeletePatti, you're a girl after my own heart...milk glass and santas!
ReplyDeleteLove the buffet, what a great transformation!
Patti,
ReplyDeleteYa really know how to slap paint! :)
Great job. Thanks for sharing!

I love the buffet! Such an interesting shape, too. Thanks for your comment on my thrifty finds. The Fenton for sale was marked from $4 to $7...not too bad, I thought. When I got home and looked at my photos, I was kind of surprised I didn't buy any. :-)
ReplyDeleteThe buffet looks AWESOME. You made it sound simple.
ReplyDeleteWelcome Patti!
ReplyDeleteI am soooo happy to have you join in this week! I love new friends! I also love that buffet-wwhat a transformation! LOVELY! What great thrifty treasures you have shared today! Thanks for linking up, my friend!
Hugs!

Patti, I thought granite was supposed to be indestructible! I'm not sure how to fix chips but we're going to be redoing out bathrooms and the tile/granite guy is coming out tomorrow. I'll be at work but I'll have my husband ask him what he suggests. There's got to be away to do repairs somehow.
ReplyDeleteLove what you did with the buffet.
ReplyDeleteWelcome to Thrifty Thursday!
